Winson Phoumsavath (Co-Owner/Director
of HQCamp)
Winson Phoumsavath is from Albemarle, NC. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science of Sport Management. He grew up playing different type of sports which included basketball, soccer, and football. He was a Managing Director at Sport2Sport for two years and built a successful year round camp program. He joined the SportHQ staff February 2014.
Josh Merckle (Co-Owner/Director of HQCamp)
Josh Merckle was born in Albany, Ohio and received his BS in Sports Sciences with a major in Sport Industry and his Master’s degree in Educational Administration both from Ohio University. Josh Merckle worked three years for Alexander Schools of Ohio as Athletic Director and Special Events Coordinator. He served as Boys Basketball Coach from 1998 to 2006, Baseball Coach in 2003, and Soccer Coach from 1999 to 2003. As AD, he managed all 36 middle and high school boys and girls sports, school and district scheduling, banquet planning, uniform and field management, and fundraising. He managed their three school campuses with dozens of facilities as well as supervised the entire coaching staff and ensured compliance with athletic policies and NCAA. He served as tournament director for Ohio High School Athletic events and the Hoops Invitational events held on his campus.
